PROJECT BRIEF: People do judge books by their covers. The same goes for records and album art. Musicians and record labels want to be perceived as authentic, different, and new.
Artists seek to define new visual languages in opposition to the conventional, predictable languages of album art in correlation to their musical genre.
Develop a fictional band or musical group, including a name and a musical genre. Two album covers will be designed: One album cover being a predictable style of the chosen musical genre, while the other should feel outsider.
